Family of woman who died in immigration custody demands full release of video

So far, only about five hours have been released as evidence in a previous lawsuit seeking state compensation. The Nagoya bureau rejected a February request to release the full footage, citing security concerns. On May 20, the family filed a new suit with the Tokyo District Court. Wishma's sister, Poornima, stated the footage belongs to the family, not the state. The bureau says it will review the lawsuit and respond appropriately.
