It varies depending on the type of procedure, status of residence, and which regional immigration bureau is conducting the examination. Please refer to the trends in examination processing times published by the Immigration Services Agency, which are introduced on our website. (Examples of Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services) Our office will process the application as quickly as possible. (If all documents are ready, the earliest possible date is the same day.)

Our office accepts requests from both inside and outside of Japan. Applications for Certificate of Eligibility, application for extension of period of stay, application for change of status of residence, etc. can be made online for procedures for which the online residence application system is available.

Interviews can be held in English.

We are sorry, but we cannot provide the services without having an interview with the applicant (foreign national).

We also accept applications for residence status that are not listed in the fee page. For example, for procedures that cannot be applied for online, such as application for permission to engage in activities other than permitted (if not submitted at the same time as an application for an extension of your period of stay) and applications for permanent residence permit, the fee offered varies depending on the regional immigration bureau in charge. Please contact us individually.

Depending on the circumstances of the applicant and the accepting institution, in addition to submitting the application form and attached documents, additional circumstances may need to be explained. In such cases, it is normal to prepare and submit additional documents such as a statement of reasons or reasons for employment. We will listen to your story, advise you if it is better to take such action, and we will provide you with a separate estimate.

Consultations are free.

In case we submit on behalf of you, if your application for a Certificate of Eligibility is not issued, or if your application for extension of period of stay or change of status of residence is rejected, half of the professional fee will be refunded.

If your application for an extension of period of stay or change of status of residence is approved, the fees to be paid to the Immigration Bureau will be paid by our office. The fees are inclusive of the fees, so you do not need to pay them.
