New research highlights challenges of asylum accommodation in the UK

Participants suggest several changes, including granting asylum seekers the right to work while waiting for decisions and increasing local government involvement in accommodation.

The report calls for systemic changes to create a more humane asylum system and proposes piloting a decentralized model for asylum accommodation to address these challenges. It emphasizes the importance of including the voices of asylum seekers in any future reforms.
