More clashes and arrests at UK immigration protests

Summary
Anti-immigration protests in the UK on Saturday led to further clashes and multiple arrests. In Manchester, far-right group Britain First organized a “remigration” rally, which was met by anti-racism counter-protesters. Brief scuffles broke out before police separated the groups. Protesters voiced concerns over immigration and housing, while counter-protesters condemned racism.
In London’s Barbican area, similar tensions flared outside a hotel housing asylum seekers. Police intervened and reported nine arrests, mostly for breaching Public Order Act conditions.
These incidents follow several recent flashpoints across the UK, including in Epping, northeast London.
