EB-4 Visas Exhausted for FY 2025: The U.S. Department of State and USCIS announced that all available immigrant visas in the Employment-Based Fourth Preference (EB-4) category for FY 2025 have been issued. No further EB-4 visas will be issued until the new fiscal year begins on October 1, 2025.

Possible Government Shutdown: U.S. Congress is struggling to reach an agreement to prevent a government shutdown, which would suspend immigration services, including LCA, prevailing wage, and PERM processing. Congress must pass an appropriations bill or stopgap measure within two weeks to avoid a shutdown.

United Kingdom

eVisa Transition Period Extended: The UK Home Office reported that over 4 million UK visa holders have created accounts for eVisas, but around 600,000 have yet to transition. To ensure a smooth transition, the grace period for expired biometric residence permits (BRPs) and EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) biometric residence cards (BRCs) for international travel has been extended until June 1, 2025. After this date, expired documents will no longer be accepted for travel.

ETA Requirement for EU Nationals: EU nationals will be able to apply for the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) starting March 5, 2025, for travel to the UK from April 2, 2025.
